Delusion of Self : A Look at Ourselves
 Page 6.

A Thought.

Recognize yourself for what you are and then perhaps you will recognize others for what they are.  If you give sway to base emotionalism then expect to be consumed by it.  Do not seek to ignore an emotion for it will be acknowledged nonetheless.  It comes down to expectation once again, when in that perceiving a situation you will cause it to manifest accordingly.  If you expect to feel a certain way all you do is generate a particular atmosphere of feeling you may come to despair of; and in fact be opening the door to Pandora’s Box.  However, if you present as oppose to expect a feeling the result will be entirely different, for you will be allowing a freely responsive affect as opposed to a predetermined emotion. Why what “we” want or desire is felt to be so very important.  Is it because we make it so important?  Of course. Not always do we act with awareness nor do we accept our selfishness regardless of the focus of our supposed need.  It is another phantom that grabs us unawares but also sometimes with a full knowledge of our actions.  It is another sad fact that continues to plaque us considering how unreal the life expression is in this world about us.

  Our Discord, Our Peace.

As we sometimes surmise, things are not always as they seem.  Even the so-called invisible is subject to change.  And change is always in a constant state of evolutionary flux.  Without change there exists stagnation, stillness, an emptiness of purpose for life; but in life, to exist
means growth and with growth after all comes some sort of change.
There is life, death, and then life again, or better still awareness; a constant cycle for our need to learn of ourselves, our purpose, our being in the cosmos.  This may seem to be an endless traipsing about through the joy and pain of the lives we thought we owned but it just makes our lack of awareness to the function of time all that more acute.  We remember, of course, time being a function of change.  Or you may feel that change is a function of time.  Regardless, it will eventually come together and a growth spurt of awareness will decide for you.  The real point is, reaching a level of clarity where time no longer holds sway over you.  You live for the moment.  The now.  Then when eternity beckons us,we merely need to listen.

We will need to allow it to happen.  Then we will come to realize what is important to us.  We will come to place no further value on those things which have caused us so much despair and anger.  And pointless upset.

A modicum of peace will be ours.  There will always be those hidden questions we will still not understand, but now we can persist in our efforts to gain knowledge of ourselves and our doubts.
We just need to try.  We just need to allow the silence to manifest within our minds and there will be a reconciliation to correct the manifest discord, then the peace we seek will come to us.

 I was asked once...

Why? Why do I hold to God? Do I have or need mundane proof of the existence of God?  No.  Of course not.  Do I reflect upon scientific principles as my proof positive? Well, yes and no.  Do I cast my selection upon the beauty of the world to see it is more than me?  No, it would not serve to suffice. It is not some dogma I seek. Definitely no. It is not some prayer I speak.  No, but it does reveal my inner feelings.  This I know.  I just know that I am here.  What I am.  That part within me that speak true.  While I still struggle with the obvious there is never a doubt as to my true identity.  When I am ready to remove the shroud that covers my true vision then will I remember and am justified in knowing what ‘I AM’.

There is a certain peace of mind in knowing man is lost in the Delusion of Self.
