A Thought.

Recognize yourself for what you are and then perhaps you will recognize others for what they are.  If you give sway to base emotionalism then expect to be consumed by it.  Do not seek to ignore an emotion for it will be acknowledged nonetheless.  It comes down to expectation once again, when in that perceiving a situation you will cause it to manifest accordingly.  If you expect to feel a certain way all you do is generate a particular atmosphere of feeling you may come to despair of; and in fact be opening the door to Pandora’s Box.  However, if you present as oppose to expect a feeling the result will be entirely different, for you will be allowing a freely responsive affect as opposed to a predetermined emotion. Why what “we” want or desire is felt to be so very important.  Is it because we make it so important?  Of course. Not always do we act with awareness nor do we accept our selfishness regardless of the focus of our supposed need.  It is another phantom that grabs us unawares but also sometimes with a full knowledge of our actions.  It is another sad fact that continues to plaque us considering how unreal the life expression is in this world about us.

"Choice" according to Alus

As you grow and continue to experience the joys and sorrows of life you’ll come to realize the choices you make will be predicated on the options available to you at the moment.  Having choices and making choices is integral to what life is all about.  It is always ‘choice’ oriented and this determines the circumstance no matter what the obvious may deem.  If you search deeply into ones past you will always find a ‘choice’ had been made placing the individual into whatever circumstance they presently find themselves.   There is no such thing as ‘no choice’.  It simply is inconsistent with the nature of life.  ‘Choice’ is the primary attribute of ‘Will’ and as such is immutable. When searching for meanings to the existence of one’s soul it is advisable to understand what your anchors are and how these anchors may stabilize you as you move from one experience to another.  An anchor is perceptual in that it never changes its attributes.  The ability to ‘choose’ is an anchor and as such an element of universal law.  From mundane birth to death, to beyond and back ‘choice’ provides the stability we need to coalesce our soul to spirit to body and back again.  The cohesion of this consistency allows for growth and continued evolution.  ‘Choice’ precedes all else: love, hate, desire, despair…everything.  At one time or another it is we ourselves who must choose what it is we need to do. Acknowledging the fundamental aspect of ‘choice’ as being a constant in life allows us to attach a line of perception to this anchor and steady ourselves when we flounder during the difficult times in our lives.  Or is it some deep rooted complacency which allows us to put off the choices for another time, another place.  I may always wonder and question the ‘why’ of things with frustration and anger becoming commonplace behavior in the core of my being as I seek to lift my consciousness up the precipice of human endeavor.  I have learned the acquisition of knowledge isn’t as important as the equilibrium achieved through the perceptions of knowledge.  Having expectations is like self-sterilizing ones desires and replacing clarity with amorphousness.  If I can stop looking for compensation every time I feel I exerted effort life might flow by a little easier.  I am never satisfied and therein lay the problem; of course it is also my salvation to be forever dissatisfied.  Growth requires dissatisfaction.  Though it doesn’t necessarily mean we have to suffer the way we do, perhaps we just want it that way.  What I have learned from life is just how little I do know, but what I have perceived from my existence is greater than I can translate into human knowledge.
 I was asked once...

Why? Why do I hold to God? Do I have or need mundane proof of the existence of God?  No.  Of course not.  Do I reflect upon scientific principles as my proof positive? Well, yes and no.  Do I cast my selection upon the beauty of the world to see it is more than me?  No, it would not serve to suffice. It is not some dogma I seek. Definitely no. It is not some prayer I speak.  No, but it does reveal my inner feelings.  This I know.  I just know that I am here.  What I am.  That part within me that speak true.  While I still struggle with the obvious there is never a doubt as to my true identity.  When I am ready to remove the shroud that covers my true vision then will I remember and am justified in knowing what ‘I AM’.
